Novena to Saint Joseph for Canada

Glorious St. Joseph, foster-father and protector of Jesus Christ. To you I raise my heart and my hands to implore your powerful intercession. Please obtain for me from the kind Heart of Jesus the help and the graces necessary for my spiritual and temporal welfare. I ask particularly for the grace of a happy death and the special favour I now implore:

that our legislators at the national and provincial levels will protect all life from the moment of conception until natural death, including that of the most vulnerable, and that they will respect the right of medical professionals to refuse to take part in assisted-dying and abortion.

Guardian of the Word Incarnate, I feel animated with confidence that your prayers on my behalf will be graciously heard before the throne of God.

 V. O glorious St. Joseph, through the love you bear to Jesus Christ, and for the glory of His Name.

R. Hear my prayers and obtain my petitions. Amen.

Novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe

Fr. Dennis talks about the Feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

After Our Lady appeared to Juan Diego, 12,000,000 million people converted. Canada could use a conversion of hearts from Our Lady. Especially as it regards Canada's culture of death for the unborn.

I found this Novena prayer, and made a few changes to it for Canada.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, we turn to you who are the protector of unborn children and ask that you intercede for us, so that we may more firmly resolve to join you in protecting all human life. Let our prayers be united to your perpetual motherly intercession on behalf of those whose lives are threatened, be they in the womb of their mother, on the bed of infirmity, or in the latter years of their life. 

May our prayers also be coupled with peaceful action which witnesses to the goodness and dignity of all human life, so that our firmness of purpose may give courage to all Canadians. 

Encourage all Canadians, especially our politicians, to walk closely with God and to give voice to the cry of the oppressed, in order to remind our nation of the sanctity of life for all people, especially the unborn. 

O Virgin Mother of God, present our petitions to your Son and ask him to bless us with abundant life. Amen.
